5. Watching For Complications

Be watchful for signs of infection or dry socket. Dry socket occurs when the blood clot in the extraction site comes loose. Symptoms to watch out for include intense pain, bad taste, fever, or excessive swelling. If you notice any of these signs, contact your dentist immediately.
